I live near the ocean so my chain is exposed to salt air and alot of sand, and I ride my bike almost 2 hours every day. Before I started using Wolf Tooth WT-1, keeping my chain clean and lubricated was a frequent problem. But this product keeps the chain lubed and clean with little effort on my part. Around once a month I clean and lube with Wolf Tooth long before I notice any chain issues. The bottle costs more, but because I use so little, in the end the cost is about the same as other bands.

let me explain.In order for it to remain clean, you have to remove the black residue that appears after initial application (and 1st ride) from the chain, chainring, and cassette. After doing the first 3-5 rides, the drive train remains clean and silent with no need to do it again for a few hundred miles (depending on conditions of course).I live in Austin TX, very dry and dusty, and apply only 1 drop per link when needed. Wait a few hours...take a microfiber rag and remove as much as I can. Again, it will get black after the first few rides. Use the rag again until it stops attracting dirt. It works for me - amazing actually imo!

A few caveat...Instructions says not to clean chain beforehand.In the winter I don't usually trail ride.Everything was cleaned a week before this lube was applied.I washed my bike as well as the chain, the set and the cassette. And lubricated as usual. For some reason there was a creaking noise from the chain area. Lubed up again, problem still there.I bought this product because you and user in the wet and dry and it lubricated and cleaned at the same time.Even though it was pretty clean to begin with, this stuff is amazing. My gear changes are silent as is the chain. And everything gets cleaner after every ride.There are very specific instructions to get the best out of this oil. Follow them and you will be happy.

One drop per link and you are fine for many rides. A bit pricey, but it will save you money in the long run. No dirt sticks to the chain or sprockets! Shouldn't have to buy as many chains as I would have otherwise.
