I might be a little harsh here, but I have given stars without having used the plunger yet.I purchased this because my old toilet plunger developed a crack in the rubber and eventually it split after many years of reliable use. I wanted a similar plunger and ideally something a bit better.This plunger arrived and the handle was much smaller than I expected. It is half the size of a standard plunger handle. I would not like to be that close to the task at hand and would have chosen the same same product with a longer handle if available. With a full bowl and the small handle, your hand would get wet in the process.The plunger cup was the same diameter as the old plunger and is much deeper too....a big plus. However, the sleeve part where the handle connects to the cup is shallow. The handle is also turned/cut in such a way that the connecting end is sort of like the slim end of a baseball bat. This results in smaller surface to surface contact, reducing friction and so makes it unstable and likely to slip out during the task. This was mentioned in other reviews but with no explanation as to why the stick de-coupled from the plunger. A fix for this would be to use strong glue, or something like Tech7 adhesive.I used the large handle from my old plunger to replace the small handle. The diameter was wider making the fit very tight. I used Gorilla glue on the handle to make the fitting easier and it is now very secure after curing. Anyone handy with DIY could break an old sweeping brush handle and make it work with the plunger cup.The plunger cup is the best part. I hope it lasts a long time. A bigger secured handle would be a massive improvement.
