A utiliser avec une aile de traction 4 lignes (pas deux) se rapproche un max du kite surf pour débuter et s’entraîner à manipuler la barre et la voile. J’ai pris une voile 2m ainsi toute la famille peut tester.

My kite flies well on this crossover bar, applying greater pressure to the brakelines of 4 line traction/powerkites.It isn't a "depower" bar, but the centre line does allow some degree of control with regard to the radius of your kite turns. The bar is reasonably priced compared to similar products. You do need an accompanying trapeze or harness for it to work. However, I have yet to receive one that isnt broken and cracked where the red plastic bumpers allow the centre line to passes through the control bar.The bar has been supplied by different vendors so I can only presume it is a disappointing weakness in the design.

Good-enough alternative to either the 'Peter Lynn Cross Over Control bar' or the 'out-of-production' Ozone Turbo bar.If you want to fly FB (Fixed Bridle) RAM-Air kites with the option of hooking into a harness (landboarding/snowkiting), then you need a control bar. A regular 4-line depower-bar could work, but they are generally more expensive and you would probably spend more time adjusting kite-trim via brake-line shortening as the depower function isn't going to work on a FB kite. This is where this kind of bar is useful. The 'Wolkenstürmer Quad Bar' feels solid enough, although the chicken-loop could use a redesign; I wouldn't want to get any kind of hang-time with this bar. The components that make up the bar (bar, leader-lines, pulleys, chciken-loop, brake/stall-handle-line) are all of good enough quality for the price I paid (70 Euro). I see that the price has increased. I now feel that at the current price of 90 Euros (10/07/22), maybe consider the Peter-Lynn alternative as it has 2 safety-releases and is probably of slightly better quality. The Peter-Lynn bar also uses 1 pulley (center/power-line) and 2 Ronstan shock-blocks (brake-lines) as opposed to the 3 Sprenger pulleys on the Wolkenstürmer, so the Peter-Lynn bar may be lighter. The Wolkenstürmer bar works well enough on my Pansh Ace 6m & 9m FB kite (I haven't tried other FB sizes in my quiver with this bar yet).
