WunderKeys Elementary Piano Level 1B

This is a perfect follow-on from 1A and gently prepares students for reading accidentals whilst maintaining the fun element of games. Definitely popular with my students!

The stories in Wunderkeys books make them a favorite for my students. Level 1 features retellings of nursery tales with a piano twist, which is then carried into the songs as well as in the adorable cartoons. Lessons include technique, sight reading, games and songs. I do wish there were more longer, performance focused pieces, but the Wunderkeys VU library helps to fill that gap.

Molts exercicis estan presentats com un joc i cada una de les unitats incorpora un còmic com a fil conductor.Aquest llibre 1B complementa el llibre 1A, introduint acords, notes alterades i les corxeres.

Book is very basic and clearly laid out. good for a beginner or novice at piano.

The story format draws my student in. The careful sequence of concepts allows her to gain the skills necessary. The breadth of technical practice and Repetoire for each unit keeps her engaged and gives variety to keep her practicing. I will continue to choose this method book for my students at this level. Although the method book is solid on its own, the additional resources generously shared by the authors are simply outstanding and make enrichment easy to plan.
