The box is roomy for an up to15.mah battery. I think it will protect the batt well from physical impact. Not water resistant. Mine was lost in transit but appeared on its own time! One screw was short that should be long. Don't overtorque the screws so you don't strip. The mounting rail that is included requires full length clearance unless modified. But it holds a heavy batt, so if intended for heavy use a good mount. Mine is 10.mah 48v 1500watt.
