I recently got some higher end headphones, "Focal Clears", and reviews said they work better with a tube type amp which increase the low end sound quality. I found another review on this amp that said after replacing the stock tube it made things even better. I ordered both and put the new tube in right away and my headphones are so much fuller and the bass came to life over the current Fiio amp I was using. Very very impressed with the sound and I can hear so many more nuances now. This amp is a bargain at the current price.This is the recommended tube that I bought:

The amp stopped working 60 days after receiving it. I liked it when it worked. I think I had the opportunity to listen to music a total of 10 times. You guys really need to work on the quality.What a bummer. If you do buy this get at least a year of insurance.I don't think I will ever risk purchasing a electronic product from china on Amazon again.Buyer beware.

Works as described, minus 1 star due to picking up near by noises from other devices. Also there in no power button, you must toggle the switch in the back of the unit which I believe will get worn out over time.Update, stopped working after a year of use
