Points positifs• Je trouve que ce kit PoE (injecteur/splitter) est vraiment pratique pour alimenter et connecter un Starlink Mini Dishy avec un seul câble Ethernet, surtout quand je veux l’installer à bonne distance de mon véhicule ou de ma maison• Le fait de pouvoir injecter un courant plus élevé (jusqu’à 48V recommandés) est un gros avantage quand on a un câble long (100 à 150 pieds ou plus), car ça évite les chutes de tension et les redémarrages intempestifs de la parabole• Les connecteurs sont bien pensés et semblent robustes, l’installation est assez simple, surtout grâce aux indications et au câblage PoE passif adapté au Starlink Mini• J’apprécie de pouvoir utiliser mon propre routeur au lieu de celui intégré, ce qui m’offre davantage de flexibilité• La possibilité de déplacer le Dishy loin de mon camping-car, par exemple, me permet de le placer dans une zone dégagée, tout en restant sous les arbres ou à l’ombrePoints négatifs• L’exigence d’un convertisseur DC-DC pour atteindre 36 ou 48V peut surprendre si je n’avais pas lu la description en détail, et c’est un achat supplémentaire• Les longueurs de câbles et l’espace pour les connecteurs pourraient être un peu plus généreux, surtout si j’utilise un mât ou un support spécial pour le Dishy

Easy to use

I use Starlink Mini installed on a tower as backup internet for a rural compound. We do not use the Starlink's router nor its WiFi, we use the Ethernet connection on the back to feed our main router Failsafe WAN interface. By using this injector/extractor kit you only need to run a single Cat5e or Cat6 from the main router to the Starlink Mini, making the installation easy and less costly, rather than buying Starlink power cable extensions and Ethernet cords with waterproof jackets. This kit comes with a) the injector (installed near the router, indoors), and b) the waterproof extractor (installed on the Starlink ports). Note the kit does not come with a power supply, you will need to feed the injector with 48VDC / 60 Watts minimum with a power adapter similar to this one The extractor that sits outside near the antenna is waterproof and both the power and Ethernet cable tips are equipped with the waterproof gaskets. Pricey solution but I can't find anything easier and less expensive than this one.
