Produce works great. Just hits a bit to hard for the young kids. Older kids Love them.

It really is Nerf or nothing. We tried the less expensive route and we've ended up returning these and getting Nerf. These constantly jammed, ball quality not as good as Nerf.

Just the very worst. They can't fire any ammo except their own, and even then it's a struggle. Forget about firing original Nerf Rival balls, DZ/AF Ballistix balls, or any 3rd-Party balls. X-Shot ball blasters just can't handle anything except their own (red) X-Shot ball ammo.But even then, maybe 1 shot in 3 will load and fire properly. Seriously. The other 2 out of three will do one of the following: barely burp out the end and fall after a few feet; double-load and then double-burp as stated prior; double-load and fire with ferocity in some random direction you're not pointing; single load, but fire in random direction with varying amounts of speed; fail to load; fail to prime; fail to fire; jam up in the loading area (this is really common); and a half dozen other things that you'll swear it's doing just to irritate and frustrate you.Happens with both blasters, so it's not a "lemon," and also I've read a lot of reports of others experiencing this. It's so bad you can't even plink with the thing because you can't hit anything. Nerf Rival is pretty darn accurate (for flinging foam), and you buy these thinking they'll be also.They are not. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I advise you to avoid these, and probably all Zuru X-Shot brand blasters for ball ammo (darts are a different story). But these things? Ugh! Run away! (But not because you're in danger of being hit by one of these things - unless maybe it's pointed the opposite way!)
