Xvive - XV1-R - Draagbare digitale recorder met ingebouwde microfoons - mono wav stereo opname

I work full time in music technology. I bought this recorder after limited experience with the Xvive brand. I was pleasantly surprised with the build quality and ease of use of this recorder. The buttons are easy, menu settings are simple, recordings sound good, and the line-in and line-out recording jacks are a nice inclusion. I've used other recorders before, and feel this one is comparable to many of them. My only concern with recorders like this is the freestanding microphones. I always worry they'll snap off. These seem durable, and while I wouldn't recommend dropping the recorder down on the microphones, the mics seem sturdier than a different recorder I own that cost over 2x as much as this one. They will hold up to normal use.

I had difficulty when I couldn't turn the recorder on after a few days. I took out the batteries and tried again with the same batteries and it started. I am concerned that it will be reliable, but the audio quality of a Mendelssohn Elijah that I sang in was so good that I gave it four stars being at least as good as my old TASCAM.

I don't usually leave a review unless it's exceptional - FOR SPORTS FILMING of 10+ hours this beat the Zoom H6. The Z6 sucks in that it takes 5 minutes to boot up, lousy battery life and sd card limited to 32gb. This XVIE recorder can take 256gb SD card, boot up in 30 secs; powered by usb-c cable to a powerbank and the icing is the 32bit float. The straight out of the box recording is also very clean, no hum and little background noise. I'm getting a second one as a backup.

Good sound quality but a bit sensitive to plosives if you get too near to the mikes.

Was gonna return because I couldn't figure out how it works. I kept trying, and when I did, I fell in love with it. The only thing I wish it could do is allow you to hear the recording without a headset. But I still give it five stars.
