Yacht Devices Tankadapter YDTA (NMEA 2000 of SeaTalk NG)

Ho acquistato l'adattatore per evitare di inserire sul serbatoio un'atra sonda NMEA2000 già provvisto del classico sensore verticale analogico. Appena inserito ho notato da subito la freccia visibile sul RAYMARINE i70s, questo solo con alimentazione della rete ma, appena inserita la chiave dì accensione motore, dopo alcuni secondi sparisce l'indicazione del carburante sul digitale. Ho notato anche che pur mancando benzina dava il massimo della lettura in entrambi gli indicatori. Ho provato i collegamenti suggeriti nel manuale, entrambi ma nulla di fatto. Controllando i settaggi da SD ho lettura sia del valore, 33/240 che di tutto il resto esatti.Con rammarico ho dovuto fare il reso.

This allowed me to replace a bad sender on my boat with a fully customization setup feeding directly into my Chart Plotter. One GREAT thing is that you can fully configure this without a NMEA2000 to USB bridge or any other special software/hardware, unlike some competing models. All you need is a MicroSD card and a text editor. You don't even need to leave the MicroSD card in the unit, so you can use one you normally use with a camera or whatever. I had a couple issues getting it to work, but customer support was quick, competent, and courteous. It turned out to be my fault. You create a "YDTA.txt" file, but I created a "YDTA.TXT.txt" file by mistake. Once they pointed out the extra ".TXT", and I changed it, things worked as expected. I replaced a bad sender with a new one, and disconnected my boat fuel gauge (since it isn't compatible with my new sender). So, in my setup, the new sender feeds this device and just this device. But, they have instructions to piggy back this on a sender also feeding a gauge (which I presume would work just as well). They have manuals, firmware, and other helpful support tools on their website, and as mentioned customer support is top notch. It really is simple, once you name the file properly!

Using this to change all of my Ranger boat instrument displays from analog (barely working) to digital (flexible displays). Worked as advertised right out of the box. Flexible and programmable. Can adapt to fuel tanks that have non-linear sensor output-to-volume relationships.

I loved configuring the device. It was technically complex and a lot of fun.This is t plug and play but it works great.

Installed the product to the vessels N2K network and made the program adjustments when the unit was tested again before delivery it blew the fuse on the N2K network power supply. Upon inspection at the manufacturers direction testing the unit went fine however it was noted that the plug end cap was loose and pulled away from the unit body and I could see 3 wires disconnected from the circuit board inside. Also there was a lot of corrosion inside the tube. to which the they stated there is no warranty since I must have abused it and placed it a wet area. They never even asked how it was installed and where just made that assumption. NEVER BUY THESE PRODUCTS NO SERVICE. It had only been in service on my vessel for 2 weeks.
