Yacht Devices YDWG-02 Wi-Fi Gateway NMEA2000 / SeaTalk NG

I've had this installed since last season and it works well. The form factor is excellent - so easy to install and to set up. I think yachtd are an overlooked company who make great devices at a very reasonable cost. I have another of their devices installed on my network as well which has also worked well.

Plug and play, web interface easy to use. Reccommend highly.

Purchased in September 2021. Used every short Alaska summer since then with OpenCPN and the Boating App (Navionics), but it appears to have failed today (August 2024). Resetting and connecting to other parts in the NMEA2000 chain made no difference. No led activity whatsoever.

Worked great when I first plugged it in to a backbone that only had a single fuel flow sensor (Port).When I plugged in the Starboard fuel flow sensor the YDWG Web Gauges stopped seeing the Port sensor.Unplugged Starboard sensor, still no Port sensor. Replaced Port sensor with a new one, still couldn't see Port in Web Gauges. Plugged Starboard sensor back in and it's the only sensor Web Gauges sees.Verified Engine#0 and Engine#1 instances were correct, verified both sensors were on the network and "talking" using CanViewer, but YDGW Web Gauges would still only show the Starboard sensor and nothing for Port.By this time the Amazon return window had passed. Reached out to the manufacturer who spent several days emailing back and forth asking me to do this or that. They finally agreed the unit is defective and should be replaced under warranty but referred me back to this seller (Laurel USA).

Works well with my Ipad Navionics Boating App (conveys depth and AIS ships) and also works with my Polarview NS PC navigation software. The WebGauges feature shows engine gages and rudder position from my boat's NMEA 2000 bus.
