This pack of 2 panel mount (d-type) RJ45 barrels are a great utility for any home project boxes.Functionally, these work perfectly, pass 1G speeds with no problem and I can imagine they would work fine at 10G if needed.Cables on both sides mate easily and with a d-type fitting the panel mounts are easy to install.For £14 for the pair at time of review, I think they're pretty good value for money.

Das Gewinde der Schrauben ist etwa 12mm lang so das die für Wandstärken bis etwa 8mm geeignet sind.Der Inneneinsatz ist aus Kunststoff, die Kontakte glänzen Golden.Die Erdung/Schirmung wird nicht mit durchverbunden.Für den Einbau benötigt man nur ein rundes Loch mit 21 bis 22mm Durchmesser sowie 2 kleine für die Verschraubung die man im Anschluss bohrt.Ich benutze die Buchsen in Eigenbaugehäusen aus dem 3D-Drucker um einen Anschluss von hinten nach vorne zu führen, im inneren klappt das dann mit einem kurzen Patchkabel.Fazit: Sehr stabil, leicht einzubauen.

These pass-through RJ45 connectors will fit any Neutrik D-Series type panel, or could be fitted to a custom panel if you drill out the central round hole and scren holes to the correct size (pleanty of info online for D-Series cutout sizes (basically its a 24mm central hole with two 3.2mm holes for the screws spaced at 19mm horizontal and 24mm vertical centres).The mount is metal construction while the RJ45 barrel insert is all plastic apart from the contacts.As such, it does the job, but being an all plastic insert may not wear as well as connectors with metal construction of the barrel.That said it should be good enough for most uses, and cables clip in and out solidly.At just over £14 for two they are reasonably priced and are a neat addition to any D-Series modular panel or custom panel.
