It's one of those toys you'll probably use once or twice, store for five years and eventually throw away. It's very cheaply made of plastic and is activated by quickly pumping air. It's not the most intuitive initially, as I was looking for a trigger and there are no instructions included.You get 13 balls and these are made of soft foam. They don't hit with much force, however you'd be forgiven for thinking otherwise - they let out such a loud pop when they exit the gun!! I had to ask a friend to shoot me before I felt okay using it near the cats, and can confirm they are indeed very gentle.Sadly though, the loud noise doesn't do it for my cats - or for the dog either. They are two years old and both very playful; I've not come across many toys they aren't into, so it's a bit of a disappointment. It might be good for kids playing with pets and/or each other, but I doubt mine will get much use.

Comes with 20 odd small balls (half an inch - about 1cm in diameter) you pack the gun with.Gun itself very very average made and nothing exciting.I'd say it might be great toy for children, not for cats. Why?The gun shoots balls under pressure and no matter how little pressure you apply to slow down shooting the balls, they come out at rather great speed and due to the small size they're almost invisible when flying.My cat shown no interest in this toy at all.Don't think it's worth spend any money on it as a cat toy. As kids toy - probably.
