Yamaha Mini-key draagbaar toetsenbord PSS-F30

This keyboard is surprizingly not sold in neither electronics or music stores, at least not in Montreal. They sell cheap Casios instead. Sad. This keyboard doesn't cost a lot, but delivers the goodies in spades. Plenty of serviceable sounds to choose from, the keys are small but feel good, the action is just right, not too tight or too loose. It has some very cool features like sustain, transpose and octave shifting. It doesn't have pressure sensitive keys, which to me is a plus, not being an experienced player, but it seems to me that keys this small are better of without this feature, as it's more difficult to control the pressure that in normal size keys. I don't use the built-in speaker, but it can come in handy. The only thing I would recommend getting is an effects unit which will provide at least stereo reverb, chorus, delay and phaser, as the keyboard has no effects built-in. I use Zoom G1on, which works perfectly with the keyboard. I can't speak to durability, but Yamaha has a good reputation, so I don't worry too much about it.

My 11-year-old daughter absolutely loves this keyboard. She is learning and creating music after just a couple of days. The price is excellent for a kid's first keyboard And I feel that it will remain credible to her interest and skill for several years. They make another model for toddlers and a slightly more advanced version with touch sensitive keys for a very realistic piano feel. Yamaha, your keyboards have been in our home for generations and it seems that with the quality products you are selling, we will continue to know your name for generations to come.

If you have an eye for retro design, this is a great choice. I love how it looks. The sound is crisp and clear and there are many different sounds and instrumental modes, a drumkit and tempo settings that are so much fun to experiment with. Hours of entertainment for an intermediate adult piano player and my cats love it too! Great purchase!
