Flauto con diteggiatura barocca, che non è quella che si usa normalmente nella scuola italiana. Prima di acquistarlo è meglio chiedere conferma all'insegnante. Detto ciò, il flauto è intonato e il suono è piacevole. È comodo da portare con sé per suonare nelle varie occasioni, non richiedendo particolare manutenzione (è di plastica, si può lavare). Il canale dell'aria è ampio e ha meno problemi di condensa rispetto ad altri modelli.

This recorder is excellent value for money - useful for the beginner , or more experienced player. If you are just starting out , like me , then it's a good idea to buy the ' Recorder From The Beginning ' , Book 1 , by John Pitts , to help you understand how to play the notes , tempo , and play some simple tunes. Amazon also sell this book , and I'm finding it invaluable. The recorder is the sort of quality , you'd expect from Yamaha , which is a make you can trust. The recorder comes with a soft case , and cleaner. The sound quality is superb - good fun for all the family.

Sons has just started recorder lessons at school so needed to buy one quick. My son prefered this one to the brown & white. Bought Yamaha as I know the name & associate it with good quality. Son was very happy with his recorder, the colour is a dark brown & looks rather classy. The sound is good, good quality & comes with a soft bag & cleaning stick. (You need to purchase a cleaning cloth seperately). An excellent recorder for beginners. Would recommend.

I am a beginner and can only compare it to toy Hornby soprano recorders (you've been warned). It is well made, has a nice tone and more importantly is in tune (which I verified with electronic chromatic tuner) and for the price it's a steal.Comes in a nice fabric bag in 3 parts so it's easy to clean and store. Even though the official Yamaha web site (nor Amazon page) specifies if a cleaning rod included - the one that I got (YRS-24B brown) did have one, which is handy.Important to note that the colour is not really Brown but much rather a sort of Dark Aubergine, which may not be for everyone. I for one actually like it and would actually prefer it over brown, but I see in the comments that not everyone is a fan.I am having a lot of fun learning this wonderful instrument and from my previous experience with other type of musical instruments by Yamaha (eg. Guitars and Pianos), you don't need to think twise before choosing it.I was also curiouos about Aulos recorders but decided to go with the brand I trust the most. Perhaps will give Aulos a try later (or a more expensive Yamaha for that matter) when my playing improves.UPDATE: I noticed a tiny crack along the mouthpiece. There is no way I could crack it as it never fell and is always safely stored and carefully used, so most likely it was damaged during delivery. Important to say that the packaging was just an envelope which is definitely not adequate for quite a fragile plastic recorder. The recorder still works and I am not sure how long it will last with the damage, but it’s frustrating - Amazon could have packed it better to avoid damage.
