I have a 2.5in surfacing cutter that uses 12x12 inserts so when I saw these on vine, I decided to grab a set. They are thicker than the inserts that came with the cutter, but I measured the insert depth and figured they should still work. Since these inserts have countersunk holes, I needed to use some different hardware to hold them, but they center nicely with the appropriate hardware. Just be sure of your insert depth.They are nicely ground, very sharp and definitely solid carbide from their density. These will keep me cutting for a good long while.

I opened up my Amazon box to find every one of these blades scattered throughout the box. The plastic container had opened during transport and all blades came out. There was no damage and the blades seem sharp, but that packaging is not at all secure. The blades have no defects.
