Firstly: as other reviewers have noted, the head unscrews while in use -- I put some adhesive on the threads to work around this deficiency.More importantly: For my small lot and garden use this thing is perfect. I was just out using this sickle without the face shield, hearing protectors, heavy boots, and gaiters that I must wear to protect myself from my screaming orange and white brush cutter. I didn't have to replace any plastic blades or cutting line, suck any two stroke exhaust, or worry about the damage that thrown rocks might do. Instead I just moseyed along enjoying the act of swishing the grass and weeds down, and then the few that were tucked too tightly against an obstacle easily fell prey to my long handled grass shears afterward. In fact, less shear work was required because I can get this sickle closer to the delicate things without the risk of damaging them or the tool. Being a gimpy old git I appreciate the absence of the pain that my brush cutter causes. The shaft is in fact stainless steel or similar, being non-ferrous and hard enough to make me quickly give up on the idea of drilling into it to use screws and nuts to lock the sections together. I find the handle length and the heft of the tool to be just about perfect for my very average stature. The blade required a quick touch-up to remove the burr from the back (bottom) prior to use, and with that the edge was completely acceptable and performed well. I didn't do enough work to dull the edge but it feels like it'll hold up well enough, and I'll update my review if I find otherwise.EDITED TO ADD: I've used the thing enough to dull it, which isn't that hard to do here where the Rocky Mountains live up to their name, and found that the blade sharpened nicely with a reasonable effort. The blade is hollow ground, which is a cheap to produce but less than optimal choice for cutting fibrous materials like grasses and weeds, but I'm still happy with it and sure that I'll be happier once I've sharpened it enough times to get past the hollow and produce a proper bevel edge. (For what it's worth, you can't get a bevel edge at a reasonable price in today's world, but you can get a passable diamond sharpener for your garden tool blades for cheap. Or be one of those who cries about how neglected tools work poorly, I guess.)All in all this tool meets my needs well and, quite unlike my screaming power equipment, I enjoy using it.

Upon unboxing, the exceptional quality of this product is impressive. It features a 1.5 inches maximum blade width. The blade is thoughtfully segmented: an outer sharp edge for general lawn and weeds cutting, and an inner serrated edge for tackling tougher growth, isuch as weeds up to 50 30 inches high and 3 cm diameter, or branches. The blade's angled attachment to the handle eliminates the need for bending during use. overall length is 1.3 meters, the tool offers a solid, balanced feel. The only notable detail is the blade's screw-based attachment to the aluminum tube, Inot sure it is doable enough under extreme force of pulling。This product offers significant operational efficiency than conventional push reel lawn. mowers, especially on bumpy lawn.

le manche est un montage de plusieurs sections, la partie coupante se dévisse lors de l'usage et il faut donc resserrer très souvent...

I have not had a chance to actually use it yet but I must say I am impressed with the quality just by the feel and the weight after opening up the box. I can tell it is well made and should be durable enough to do the work I need it for . So far so good.

I enjoyed using this tool for the most part. The end with the blade kept loosening which caused stops and delay. There is only 1 handle. Scythes with an extra gliding handle would be smoother. My next purchase would be a solid handle and the blade firmly attached.
