U. S. review by experienced craftsman. Over all, very nice job on this neck! The neck is dead on straight! It has the feel of a BC Rich neck with a D neck shape. Similar to a Jackson speed neck but a little thicker. Most would find the feel of this neck to be accommodating, unless you like a thick C shape neck. It is made of rock maple with an OK rosewood fingerboard. It has a well executed scarf joint. It has some very small deviations in contour, but can easily be taken care of with a little sanding. The only major problem I have is the curve leaving the neck into the paddle is much too long. If I wanted to do a Jackson style headstock, I could not do it. In general, too much material is being removed from the sides of the paddle. Please leave as much material on the paddle as possible even if there is a flaw. Afterall, the paddle is for a custom job. Let the crafter decide if that material should be removed. Flaws can always be covered with filler or veneer. There is a small machine mark in second fret area, but careful sanding will fix it. Frets are, what I would call, medium. It's the same frets they are putting on cheaper to medium line guitars. Frets are installed accurately and evenly. The fingerboard has a 12 inch radius and will only need a small amount of fret leveling. The Truss rod is installed correctly and works. Back corners on the heel are not rounded. Some do not like that, but I would rather do it to get max contact with body.Improvements that can be done easily. The scarf joint grain curve is in the same direction on both pieces.It will not make much of a difference on rock maple but softer wood needs it in the opposite direction.Top edge of paddle is sanded. Great, but its not sanded square with the paddle. The way it was sanded the crafter loses area for the design. Just leave the edges of the paddle raw, even rough if you wish. Whatever leaves the crafter more area to work. I put a micrometer on the neck and it is close, but the width is slightly thin. Fits perfect in a BC Rich neck pocket, but slightly thin for a Jackson. Wider, with in reason, is always better. The neck feels very dry, so in a week it may swell and widen up a bit. Leave the cheap nut off, and save the money. Nobody will use it.Overall, it is very nice for the money.

Das dritte Mal, das ich diesen Hals verbaut habe (auf Balkon und Küche!). Ein Rohling der einige Arbeitsschritte erfordert. Wenn diese vernünftig ausgeführt werden, hat man einen wirklich erstklassigen Hals! Man hat die Kopfplattentaillie verkürzt, sodaß jetzt auch ein Fenderstyle möglich ist. Die jumbofrets sind sehr gut,muten an wie Edelstahl, bundrein eingelassen in ein sehr fettes Griffbrett. Nur wenig Nivellierung, Kantenabrichtung und Politur war notwendig um eine extrem niedrige schnarrfreie Saitenlage zu erreichen. Der trussrod funzt auch wie er soll, einzig die Nuss die mich an Lego erinnert habe ich durch eine Knochennuss ersetzt, (sehr einfach) bin begeistert, der Preis dafür unfassbar günstig, sodaß die Klampfe insgesamt unter 300€ kostete. Volle Kaufempfehlung!

Solid neck. I only had to slightly turn the truss rod. It would have worked the way it was. So this is my 2nd neck, for a LP style build. When I made the ash body, I moved the neck pick up hole a little bit toward the bridge so that allowed room for a 24 fret neck. I set my scale length to 24 7/8. Sounds awesome. No filing frets on this one. I swapped out the white nut* for a black one. I love this neck!!

Gerne wieder! Toll verarbeitet. Bünde müsste man nochmal etwas bearbeiten, sonst alles toll.
