Great and exciting toy!! My budgie took a couple of weeks to feel brave enough to go anywhere near it but he’s totally obsessed now and spends hours playing with it.

I live in Senior Independent Living, but at some time before I arrived, they acquired 2 parakeets (budgies) but whenever I looked in on them, they had little or no drinkable water or food. I've had birds of various species my entire life and let management know that it didn't make this center look good when they couldn't care for a couple of small birds. I was buying food, toys, swings and spending a couple hours a week caring for them. At one point one of the birds laid 15 eggs - which were not fertile, so I removed the eggs and added calcium to their diet. But when I purchased this toy (two so far) they seem to have a great deal of fun destroying it - and it takes a couple months to complete the destruction. The egg laying would also stop. They are caring for the birds better now but i continue to purchase a higher quality of food and more and more toys. They'll now come to me and perch on "step up" command. There cage is huge so that is one positive in addition to these toys. Most birds love to shred so I always start with that kind of toy. It's been a big hit.
