It's getting harder to open jars lately. I was unsure about these. I was afraid they would distort the lid so it wouldn't close well after getting the jar open. But no. No problems. It was really easy to use - just slide it into the place and give it a little lift and the seal of the lid breaks without distorting the lid and the lid screws off like a breeze.I definitely recommend these as a great tool for those having problems with opening tight jars.I do think they are slightly pricey. At over $3.60 per item, they aren't cheap but they aren't outrageously expensive either. I just think they are more like a $2.50 item, but I'm frugal... ok, I'm a cheapskate.I was really surprised at how well they worked. No jar is safe from me now!
