I bought this to wire up to a DIY kids ride on car. It has 3 wires, the yellow is to control the rotation. It is well made and quite bright. I think it is great for using for making a toy but I'm sure you could also use it for a burglar alarm system or anything really if you have the skills and are creative. It doesn't come with instructions so does assume you have some idea of what you are doing.
