Very interesting to see what's really happening over that USB-C charging cable (e.g., devices switching between 5/9/12 V during one charging session). I picked this product because of the attached cable: more convenient than a male plug end that some competing products have.I will be testing the capacity of my powerbanks; the device tracks total Wh that passed through it, even with interruptions.

I bought this to replace another meter that worked great except it had a fixed USB-C tip. Accuracy was great and it was very easy to use, but it is inconvenient to attach to devices and its tip broke off within a week. This one is identical except it has a shot flexible USB-C cable instead. And that makes it just perfect! it is now easy to attach it laptops, phones, and other devices, and it is safely attached and I do feel it has no reason to break off.The meter works beautifully, showing accurate and realtime data regarding the power flowing though it. it also calculates the power drawn over a specific time period (click and hold the switch to reset and start a new session), and it is remembered even if you unplug the meter.

Maybe you're suspicious of how well a USB cable or charger is working. By switching out two cables or two chargers to see the difference in the "Wattage" they deliver, you can see which is the better cable or charger. More Wattage is a faster charge. "Amps" might be an indicator, but Amps get complicated with quick chargers that automatically step through different voltages. The true proof of the pudding is the Watts being delivered, since Watts encompasses both voltage and amps.I have some old, non-quick, 5 Volt Only chargers. I've never seen the 2.4 amp charger deliver more than 1.5 amps into a discharged Pixel 8 or tablet, which is interesting. The 1 amp chargers deliver 1.2 amps with the same cables, which is interesting. Hopefully also interesting, I seek out low-current-capacity, non-quick chargers for around the house, since a slow gentle charge provides longer battery life (in years) compared to quick charging them all the time. In the car, the cigarette lighter charger has a quick-charge USB C jack that's supposed to step up beyond 5 volts, and a USB-A jack that only provides 5 Volts (allegedly up to 2.4 amps, which is still pretty powerful). So I can use the charging speed that I need. Completely OCD, I also keep an old 1 amp cigarette lighter charger in the car for when a slower, gentler charge will be sufficient. Granted, it's getting difficult to find non-quick, 5-volt-only car chargers that deliver less than 2.4 amps output, since Marketing Departments are trying to convince everyone that "the faster the better."The phone tells the charger if it wants the voltage stepped up higher than 5 volts. But phone documentation does a poor job of documenting what higher voltages the phone might request. If you take a discharged phone and hook it up to a quick charger, this USB test meter will show if the voltage has stepped up beyond 5 volts, and how it steps lower as the phone charges. If you're interested. An old Moto G5 Plus only requested 5 volts or 9 volts. I haven't checked what the highest voltage is that my new Pixel 8 requests from a quick charger, since I don't let it discharge all the way and I'm always charging it up with 5-Volt-only slow chargers. There's a quick charger in the car, but I'm busy driving. But I'll bet you the Pixel can also request 12 volts and maybe more.If you don't think your device isn't charging right, this meter will show if there's any charging power (Watts). No Watts is No Good. 5 Watt charge is pretty slow for a modern cellphone; it might keep your phone from further discharging, but it won't increase the battery level much unless you turn off the phone. If you think the phone should be getting a faster charge, you'll want to see if a different cable or charger will deliver more watts. You might need to buy a new cable whose marketing specifies it's specifically good for charging.Or maybe the quick-charger has partially burned up and isn't stepping up to quick charge, it will display 5 Volts from the charger even if the phone is well discharged.Or maybe a charger has completely burned up, and this meter shows Zer0 volts when it's plugged into the charger, whether the phone is hooked up to the other side of this meter or not. It's easier to troubleshoot charging problems with this numerical readout.

YOJOCK Model: KWS-066C USB-C-Tester:Einwandfreie Funktion.
