Arrived quickly and saved our old tent. I threw out the old poles by mistake!

Much lighter and stronger than fibreglass and seem much stronger. I have been using these for a year now and they seem much more reliable. I'm no longer worried one will break every time I erect my tent. The only 2 drawbacks are;1. They don't exert as much outward force as my 9mm fibreglass poles did (the ones that broke!) so the tent isn't quite as rigid. Not a problem unless you regularly pitch in a force 8, in which case your tent might flap a bit more and need to be storm lashed.2. They are a smaller diameter - easier to insert, but don't lock into the metal eyelets of the tent, they slip through. This is easily fixed by putting a small (suitabley sized) washer on the end of each pole.
