Not best quality, but does the job pretty good

This deadcat works really well.It blocks the wind as it should, perfect for recording outside.

Het harige exemplaar is ok, maar de schuim editie niet. Die heeft nare afdrukken die er niet uit gaan, slecht verpakt dus en is veel te dun van kwaliteit. Geen aanrader zo.

Deadcat is alright, but elastic band is brittle. Fell apart after unpacking.

Los he recibido hoy y he hecho ya un par de pruebas, a priori, muy satisfactorias.El 'deadcat' atenúa bastante el sonido (lógico, por otro lado) y, aunque elimine el ruído del viento, no quiere decir que vayamos a poder usar el micro en mitad de un huracán. Hace lo suyo, que es permitir la grabación en exteriores. Además no es tan fácil de poner como la espuma, cuesta un poco colocarla en el sitio y luego hay que ajustar la goma.La espuma, recién sacada del paquete tenía arrugas y estaba algo fea, pero tras un par de horas está como nueva. De sonido muy bien. En mi opinión, la espuma le confiere a los micros esa pátina de sonido profesional tan propia de aquellos que cuidan su captación. No exime esto de postproducir el sonido, evidentemente, pero en el momento de hacerlo estaremos ante un mejor punto de partida.Y poco más. Buen material y bien empaquetado, sin florituras. Y diría que no es caro, 15 € no deberían ser la ruina de nadie por algo tan necesario.

This review is factual and objective with no personal opinion unless where stated.I have poor hand - eye coordination and limited articulation in my fingers, and I found this product really easy to pull over the Zoom H1n's cradle around the microphones.The opening diameter for this product is very large and covers the Zooms recording dial (and the input and output 3.5 mm sockets) and in addition, the draw cord is very strong and has a locking clip on it to keep it secure.This means that the Zooms recording dial has no elastic pressing down on it and accidentally alter your recording level.Personal opinion:I have done wind test recordings with this product and analysed them in Audacity, and found this product performed extremely well.The whole purpose of foam 'Pop shields' and 'Dead Cat' wind shields is to create a pocket of 'still' (unmoving) air are around the microphones.This can only be achieved if there is a very good seal between the wind shield and the body of the recorder.This product has a non-slip leatherette-type material that holds the draw cord and adheres to the recorders body very effectively.I own several digital recorders and have found that this product fits and performs extremely well with them all.REMEMBER - furry wind muffs or 'Dead Cats' only REDUCE wind noise and not ELIMINATE it.Would recommend this product.ps - Both products are machine washable on a synthetic setting. Both are also OK with fabric conditioner. Allow to dry thoroughly before attaching to the Zoom H1n.
