I bought one of these for my husband and myself. My husband wears a size M and I wear a size L/XL, but a size M in these shirts fit both of us with no issues. I've had other swim shirts/rash guards and they are not as water wicking as this brand seems to be, and these also dry quickly. We're very impressed with them.

My husband was hesitant to wear a long sleeve shirt in the Caribbean, but his tendency to burn in Ohio in the spring led him to try the shirt.He was surprised at how comfortable it was while swimming and snorkeling. He did not sunburn.It seems true to size. My husband is a shade over 6’, and 210lbs. The XL shirt fit him perfectly.
