The rolls don't turn when smaller, but otherwise fine.

We got a new puppy so needed these holders for her leashes. We have used a similar style (paid much more) for our longtime dog’s leashes. This style is great because it holds 2 rolls, so there’s always a spare. With the other, more common kind, I can’t say how many times I’d find - in the middle of the walk after our dog did her business - that the roll hadn’t been refilled. This kind, there is plenty of time to add the second roll. The two Velcro straps attach strongly to the leash handle and the clip is very handy for keys and even to hold a knotted, full poop bag. For the price, these can’t be beat and they seem to be of the same quality as our current ones, for which we paid much more. Highly recommend!
