I hate to leave a bad review however this product is really poor. I bought it to shorten a few laces. They shrink onto the lace however they are still bulky at the ends no matter what I do. I had already laced up my shoes and they will have to stay laced as they are because it is super hard to get the lace in and out the shoe holes. Has allowed me to shorten the laces I wanted to however I am not confident about their duration as one came off not long after heating.

Prima, endlich habe ich so ein Produkt gefunden. Bei einem meiner Schuhe war eine Schnürsenkelendkappe aus Plastik kaputt gegangen. Mittlerweile ist das Ende auch schon etwas "ausgerippelt".Also, Schnürsenkel gekürzt, den Rohling rüber und dann mit dem Föhn. auf höchster Stufe eine Weile geschrumpft. Das Prinzip ist das der Schrumpfschläuche, die auch für elektrische Kabel und Bauteile genutzt werden.Jetzt wird sich zeigen, wie lange die neue Schürsenkelendkappe hört, aber mit der Packung habe ich ja noch ordentlich Reserve.

I ordered this to put over wired fairy lights where it meets the resin. Sometimes the wire for the lights can break off at this point. This product worked beautifully for what I wanted it for. No flaws, dimensions are as stated. I would order this product again.

This product is very likely repurposed heat shrink tubing for electrical wiring - which is what I intend to use it for.The unshrunk diameter is closer to 7mm which should make it easy to insert over most shoelaces. The shrink factor is around 100% and results in a stiff, durable sheath with an outside diameter of about 4mm (see photo).
