At first, I was disappointed in the product. It seemed like the metal was too thin and it wouldn't work. It has stiff foam backing to support it when installed.I went ahead and installed it and was pleasantly surprised. It looks like it belongs and is part of the faucet. It also feels robust and solid.The chrome feels thick but I don't know how I would measure that. I think it will last though. It's only been on the sink for a few weeks. I hardly notice it any more.This is a pretty good product and I think it will work great for a long time. I really don't know the life though.
