As one review says, there are no instructions. That could be tough for someone who hasn't run a still before, it ran perfectly fine for me. My major complaint is that the water pump does not fit the pump fitting they provided, and it also won't fit directly to the tubing. I was able to use an old pump but it would be nice to have the extra. Also, it would be best to have the thermometer at the top of the head rather than the dome

This ran my first ever brandy run, which turned out EXCELLENT! Works great as-is but I added a sight glass, a screen in the pipes, copper mesh, and some extra pipe to get a higher proof on first run. Doing up to 130 now. Wish I bought the 5 gallon instead of the 3 gallon, but I've got a 13.2 gallon Vevor also. This one was for test runs, but you can buy so many add on parts it would become my main one if it were larger. If you're just getting into it, THIS is a great buy! But do the 5 gallon first since you'll likely be fermenting in 5 gallon buckets. The 3 gallon is more suited to test runs or small batches, so it still has a great place in your kit. Once you get started in this you need all 3 sizes anyway.

Ran good and was simple to put together. Can you tell me if the welds on the pipes used lead free solder? I got my still delivered today and the welds inside the pipes are messy and sloppy, doesn’t effort the clamps at all, just concerned if all the solder joints had any lead in them? Also the brass flow valves for the shotgun condenser, did you use lead free brass in those fittings?
