My mountain bike is old, like 25 years old and still had the original tires. I've decided to pull it out of storage and put it back to use though, starting with these tires and inner tubes. I looked up my rim size to verify that this tire's diameter and width would work first before ordering.Pulling my old tires was easy enough since they were completely flat. Get these installed was not too bad, especially using the included tire tools. One tool I set in the rim to get the first side's bead set on the rim. Then flipping over the wheel, I set this side mainly by hand and used the lever end of the tool to set the remaining 25% of the tire in the rim. FYI - I lightly inflated the tube first so it would sit inside the tire, hold its shape, and not flop around.Tip - if you are replacing tires on an old bike like me, check the alignment after re-mounting your wheels. I had some wobble in the rims that hit the side of the brake pads at specific spots in the rotation. I picked up a cheap spoke wrench and made adjustments to pull the rim more toward the center and also adjusted the brake brackets. The pads will likely need to be fully replaced soon, but are fine for now.The tread on these are great for gripping and traction. The width is close to fat tire territory, and gives my bike a beefier look. I've been on a few rides and the fatter tires have a little for drag that does not coast along freely as far as thinner wheels, but they are better off the pavement in different types of terrain. Pop up curbs is breeze too.

These tires arrived quickly and were in good condition. The tires themselves are slightly wider than my previous tires, but fit upon the rim quite well. Included tubes inflated perfectly and had no leaks. The tire itself is not as aggressive as a tread pattern as my previous tire, and so does a little better for street use. I mostly use this bike on dirt, and the grip is still adequate for what I need in deep dirt or rocky train. I might suggest an inner liner if you go through lots of brush and thorns as these tires do not seem to have extremely effective protection against punctures. Overtime, if I experience any issues with rubber degradation, or workmanship, I will certainly update the review. For now, considering the price, I do recommend these tires.
