It's the perfect size to brew just enough to fill a single teacup. It's more of a darker purplish clay in person compared to the more reddish-looking clay in the pictures but the difference is small enough not to bother me. It pours neatly with minimal spills. It doesn't have a weird chemical smell or a sticky coating on it that I've heard some cheap yixing pots can have. I'm somewhat doubtful that this is completely handmade at this price point but honestly, all I care about is that it's functional and looks cute.

I like the most it is the teapot's elegant design and delicate appearance. Crafted from authentic Zisha clay, the teapot exudes a timeless charm that reflects the rich tradition of Chinese teaware. Its compact size and smooth surface make it a pleasure to hold and use.The functionality of this teapot is truly impressive. The water flows smoothly from the spout, allowing for a precise and controlled pour. The lid fits snugly onto the body of the teapot, ensuring there are no unnecessary drips or spills while pouring. I found this particularly valuable when serving tea to guests, as it adds an element of finesse to the experience. One of the most remarkable features of the Yixing Zisha Clay Teapot is its versatility. Not only does it excel at brewing tea, but it also preserves the freshness of tea leaves. The porous nature of Zisha clay allows the teapot to "breathe," which means it absorbs the essence of the tea over time. As a result, each brew becomes more flavorful and enjoyable, enhancing the overall tea-drinking experience. Moreover, I discovered that this teapot can also serve as an excellent vessel for tea storage. When not in use, I can store loose tea leaves inside the teapot, allowing them to ferment naturally over time. This unique characteristic of the Zisha clay enhances the taste and aroma of the tea, resulting in a more complex and nuanced cup.Beyond its practical uses, the Yixing Zisha Clay Teapot can also double as an exquisite decoration for the home. Its traditional Chinese design and rich earthy color make it a beautiful centerpiece, adding a touch of elegance to any space. When not in use, I love to display it on a shelf or tea table, where it becomes a charming focal point in my living area.

I do like this teapot. It's a good size for a single cup of tea, and the holes prevent larger leaves from slipping through when pouring. The lid helps steep the tea fully. However, the main photo is misleading. It makes the ceramic appear to have a glazed finish, when in fact it's matte. You notice it in the other photos, but they shouldn't make it the main photo.

The color is matte reddish brown. Good weight and balanced. This is made of the natural "Zisha" clay in a traditional shape and style for chinese gung fu tea. It is not glazed on purpose. I think it is supposed to absorb the tannins, flavors and aroma of the tea. Over time, it will enhance the tea brewed in it. This is best for brewing the darker tea that has higher tannins. This teapot seems to be well made and sturdy.
