I have a samoyed so I HAD to get this chalk bag. It’s just the right size. Good quality material. I didn’t like the belt buckle feature, so I just replaced it with a carabiner. Easier to keep my harness, shoes, and chalk bag in one place.

Although standard chalk bags are usually good enough, we really like this YY Vertical Samoyed-themed bag. As fluffy and cute as it is, it handles bumping around really well. We’re really impressed by the cinch top; it opens wide enough to hold a chalk ball, yet closes tight enough to hold loose chalk without puffing out chalk when the bag bumps along the back while climbing indoors. Although I didn’t want to risk wasting chalk by flipping it upside down, during standard indoor facility medium use, this bag is holding chalk just as well as the style the facility itself sells at a similar price point. A regular bag is efficient, but this chalk bag became a favorite because it is durable enough to work for our athletic college son as well as the preteen. Chalk bags are usually a bit difficult for the preteen to handle, plus we have had a few instances of chalk loss with other styles, and this bag has worked perfectly for him. An extra plus as parents is that the unique bag helps pick our climber out of the other climbers in the facility really easily.
