The lead on the lawnmower has always been a bit short, only just reaching the far end of the lawn and making it difficult to manoeuvre. The situation was made much worse when my father managed to run the lawnmower over the cable and cutting right through it. As it happened we had a spare orange lead that was pretty long, and we wanted to attach it to the cut end of the lead. This would not only solve the broken cable problem but also extend it to a better length.When I saw these waterproof connectors from Zacfton, I thought they should be ideal and I ordered them. They arrived promptly and are packed in a little resealable plastic bag. They are relatively easy to use as long as you have the basic knowledge of cutting and stripping wires. If you can change a plug top then you should be okay, otherwise get someone else to do it.There are rubber grommets on each end so that when you tighten up the outer threads they grip down on to the cable and seals it from moisture. The centre barrel opens on one end and if you tap it gently once opened, a small round connector block drop out. Connecting the wires is as simple as wiring a plug top with screw down terminals. Just make sure that the right colour wires line up from both sides. That's pretty much it. The connection should be safe from water ingression.They are very well-made and do the job well. My only criticism is the price. I paid just short of £16 for a pack of three, that's just over a fiver each which seems a little high. However, I don't regret making this purchase and overall pleased with them.I hope you found my review helpful.

Maakt een goede waterdichte verbinding . Eenvoudig in gebruik . De boutjes om de elektrische draden vast te zetten mochten ietsje groter . Maar algemeen oké !

Ich hatte letzten Sommer mit dem Rasenmäher mein Verlängerungskabel zerschnitten, welches vorübergehend die Teichpumpe mit Strom versorgt hatte.Das war ärgerlich. Bin daher in den Baumarkt gefahren um eine Lösung zu finden. Bin daher auf solche Muffen gekommen. Die hatte gut funktioniert: ich konnte das Kabel wieder zusammenflicken.Hab also nun die 3 bei Amazon bestellt, quasi auf Vorrat. Dieses 3er Pack konnte ich zum selben Preis wie im Baumarkt für eines bekommen. Die Lieferung ist zeitnah angekommen. Die 3 Muffen funktionieren genau so wie die im Baumarkt: 3 Adern können über das innen liegende Verschraubteil wieder zusammengefügt werden. Keine scharfen Kanten, alles Schrauben mit dem kleinem Phasenprüfer-Schraubenzieher anzudrehen oder mit der Hand.Hab die 3 Kabelbinder auf Wasserdichte ausprobiert: Habe ein Test-Verlängerunskabel gebaut und die Muffen verwendet. Hab die Teichpumpe angeschlossen und die Muffen mit de Gießkanne übergossen und mehrere Stunden laufen lassen. Alles ok. Hab auch mal an beiden Kabelenden gezogen: alles sitzt fest. Kann ich empfehlen: 3 Stück zum Preis von einem und gleiche Zuverlässigkeit und Funktionsfähigkeit.
