These are fine for keeping opened packets sealed when you fold over the packet tops. They clamp tight enough for that and work well. Forget using them as a stand alone seal though: they are not nearly tight enough. Basically great for an opened bag of crisps where you've folded over the open end a couple of times but not a sachet of coffee which needs to seal tightly.Handily each clamp has a little magnet attached so you can use them to fix things to the fridge as long as they aren't too heavy.
