The seam tore out within hours of fitting this on ford fiesta 2019

Mis sur ma Sandero de 2008 (premier modèle) qui a un volant de 38 cl de diamètre.Un peu dur à glisser au début, je pensais m'être trompé de taille 😁J'ai mis une bonne heure pour finir le travail que je trouve pas mal. Je me suis aidé de vidéos trouvées sur Youtube pour voir comment faire

I had a hard time putting it on the wheel, i had to ask my partner to man handle it for me on the wheel. Once on(you have to put it in the correct position to start with) i wiggled it around the wheel trying to find the middle position for it. The Video and tutorial for this was not the best/not the most clear. I had to check various on YouTube, and once i had a rough idea i started sewing it.Initially i did not apply enough pressure/pulled the tread enough as i almost reached half i realised the cover was joining in some places and not joining in others. Then again the perforated leather was more elastic than the normal leather and also the steering wheel for my a3 v8 had diferent sizes. I tried my best to keep it symetrical looking at one side and trying to match with the 2nd side. I did bottom half first opting to go with the tread behind the wheel looping it in and out of the cover's seams behind. Then i did the top going again from left to right. The bottom half i unsew almost all of it and then redid applying enough tension to look more symetrical.For my wheel 1 thread and needled were enough i had extra thread at the end. I also struggled with knotting it, but i tried to do multiple knots behind it in 2 seams at least, then i cut it a bit bigger to be able to push it with my nails and needle under the cover so that it would sit more secure.As i finished on the right the cover is a bit more wrinkley/loose on that side, i tried pulling but i could not fix it.Overall is good, it seems leathery but idk how genuine lol.It took me around 2 hours, it was my first time doing this as well. Not easy, not too impossible either but a lot of work and unclear instructions. As for the quality for the price time will tell, i simply do not want to leave ring marks on the steeringwheel over time so i am hoping this will be good for that.

Es fässt sich super an. Hatte bisher immer einen Lenkradbezug. Er schont dauerhaft das Lenkrad. Sehr zu empfehlen.
