I have a 100A Isolation switch, and these as disconnection points between an array of 8 12v 110AH lead-acid batteries and the inverter;Some might say this is overkill, however this was a safety measure introduced to ensure in an emergency the DC side of the power could be disconnected confidently and completely.First at the isolation disconnect which is a "key" based Kill switch; and then at this plug side.Why? I've had the turn-key disconnect internally fuse before, rendering the removal of the key useless; this in of itself was very worrying and fortunately did not lead to any harm.Still this got me to thinking, if this should occur again, what can I install as a confidence measure to absolutely ensure the disconnection of the array and isolate the DC power; these plugs give me that.
