Finally they got the design just right! The lid can be tricky but there’s a method, once you’ve got that down it’s all good. The spigot is easy and doesn’t leak unlike previous iterations. The way the tds meter sits in the unit is cool too. I’m overall this one is a winner. Only downside is I don’t like the taste of the water, haha.

This was an upgrade buy for me when my older, smaller handheld zerowater pitcher finally died. I thought having the meter above the spout would be cool but I don't think it works at all usually. If I remove it, which is a pain, it reads correctly, so I know it's working. But my impression and intent was that it could sit above the spout and read from there without being removed. It doesn't really, and every adult in my house has messed with it to try.I like zerowater a lot. I watch their site for sales on the filter and buy a box at a time. We live in a rented house with a gritty well-water situation I don't entirely trust. The filters are good. We like the taste of the water and when we've had water issues the zerowater filter has made a huge difference in the appearance and taste. This pitcher itself is nice. I really like the spout and we use that more than pouring it. It's really nice when you fill the coffee machine because you can hold it over the top and not have to tip it. It's not terribly heavy when full (I'm a small woman with tiny wrists and struggle with things like cast iron pans) and small enough to fit under the kitchen sink when it's time for a refill. Fits on a fridge shelf next to the milk. All in all, I'd buy it again. I usually only check the meter when I think it's getting to be time to change the filter (I can usually tell because the water filters more slowly and you start to see particles in the top. Use cold water to fill it, too, and the filters will last longer.) There are only 2 people in my house usually so it takes us a while to use up a filter most times. But if you need to check the meter daily, then make sure it's working right away, maybe by removing the filter top and running some tap water through at first. I didn't notice until it was past the return date.

First off I used the brita for years and still do, taste of water is similar, a bit of charcoal taste to me. Wanna taste good water, try fiji water, a close second is smart water, tho it is not from a natural source. The design is okay, the lid is hard to figure out when you first try to open it, need to press and hold the edge and pull it up, I find just using your thumb to slide it up a bit difficult. Also and if you look closely the plastic tabs on the lid, where the spout is, rubs off, forming plastic power that will likely go into the water, it does rub off on both side, more concern is the spout side. The Brita is hinge on the the back side and the area is away from the water. The meter seems to work my brita gave me 93 and 0 for this unit, After one month read 0.01 then a week later back to zero, two months now and the original filter is nearly ready to change, whats interesting is, all the water I put into it has been prefilter in brita, so when I replace this filter I will see how long a filter will last. Also after one month the filter seemed to get clogged and i would need to spray it with water and shake it. Could be the oem? Who know but got two replacements and we see how they perform. Anyway happy with the product, nothing broke, will update in the future.

I' am confused, the TDS meter they provided with the pitcher worked on day one showing higher TDS readings of 110 on tap water and Zero on water through the pitcher. One week later and there is no difference between the Tap Water or The Zero Water Pitcher both are ZERO. I checked this 3 x and question the effectiveness of this Zero water pitcher. Our health will not tolerate being lieD to.
