As there are too many people sharing just a few of microwaves in the campus, then I thought it would be great if I pre-heat the food using the microwave at home then carry in a food jar which keeps warm. This product is just perfect for me! 1. I pre-heat/cooked the lunch for myself first > 2. rinse the vacuum jar with hot water > 3. put the little food containers into the food jar and I can have a warm meal at lunchtime. The main container is large enough for rice and the soup container is great for soup or source like curry. I usually put veggie in the top layer. Overall, the quality of the food jar is awesome as it is made in Japan and the shipping was speedy that I didn't expect early delivery like this!

We've had this for a few years now for our son to take to school. We fill the bottom compartment with boiling water and put his lunch in the middle compartment on top and this keeps his food hot for hours. The hot water and what's left of his lunch (very small amount) is still warm at 4pm after school. All the compartments are dishwasher safe, though I wouldn't recommend putting them in the microwave if you want to preserve the life of the compartments. The main container is easy to clean and secures the lid very well. None of the compartments have ever leaked. We've also got the Zojirushi drink flasks - they are amazing and also keep hot drinks piping hot for hours.
