Very impressed with this pump and have purchased a second one. It worked straight away, even with subdued sunlight. The built in battery gets charged and keeps the pump running when the weather gets dull. There are 3 settings: high, low and intermittent (10 secs on/ 10 secs off). It is not recommended to run it on high continuously. I have one pump connected to a sponge filter in a container pond. It can power a second airline, but the pressure is not strong enough for an air stone. Also if you are running 2 lines, you need a control valve to even out the air flow. My second pump lives in a greenhouse and powers an airline into a daphnia culture, and if i set up a second culture i can easily run a split line. When i move my container pond into the greenhouse over winter, the filter can carry on working and keep the fish happy. It remains to be seen how well these pumps last, they're both on intermittent setting to hopefully give them the longest possible life span.
