Even though this is pretty silly, and a novelty item, I had been wanting to own one for awhile. Why I wanted this particular Hula Girl was because she looked more authentic, due to the musical instruments in her hands. Overall too, this dancing Hawaiian girl also looked prettier than other ones I'd seen.I didn't know what the musical instruments that she was holding were called, since I've never been to Hawaii. They are called 'uli 'uli and are made from dried gourds decorated with colorful feathers. They are also known as rattles, because as the girl dances, she shakes them, much like a baby shaking a rattle toy.Although this Hula Girl apparently comes in 5 different skirt colors, I did receive the one wearing a yellow skirt, just as shown in the picture. The paint job on it was satisfactory, and since this is 100% solar powered, no batteries will ever be needed. This dancing girl car ornament works great and looks great all the time, especially when she's doing the hula dance.Right now I have my Hula Girl placed on my bedroom windowsill, and every afternoon as soon as it starts to get sunny out, she starts dancing and dancing. This is inexpensive, but gives me a Lot of enjoyment in exchange for very Little money.The girl when she is dancing does make an audible, noticeable clicking type of sound, but it is not anything annoying. Probably all dashboard ornaments of this type, will do the same thing. I'm only mentioning it so people know that the operation of it is not completely quiet. The sound is normal, and doesn't mean anything is defective with it.In conclusion, I just Love my new Hula Girl solar dancing girl! She's a lot of fun to watch, and she brings happiness to my day, so she's definitely worth buying. I certainly recommend this Hula Girl 100%.

It’s cute and colorful and will wiggle in the sun. I have it on my kitchen window sill that gets a lot of sun and it gives me a bit of joy whenever I see it. At the time of this writing, the price is $6.99 and the quality matches the price. The construction is on the cheap side with flashing that is not cut from the manufacturing process. And the paint job is kind of sloppy. But overall, it’s a little bit of fun, though not the best made for the cost.
