I have had this now for 2 years, during which time this device has never let me down. Just needs a light squeeze, and align the four wheels to the neck top and turn 360 degrees. Personally I find it much more effective to turn the bottle, rather than the cutter anti-clockwise. You do need to look at the wheels to make sure all four are in contact to the foil top of the bottle, where necessary adjust forward or backward and squeeze slightly more or less but NOT excessively. Very surprised to see negative reviews.
