Great gadget to have in the kitchen small and compact first rite in the cutlery draw without taking up to much space.Very easy to clean after use I just put it in the top rack of the dishwasher.There seems to be a little pot that sits in the slider I havnt used this as personally I don't think the little pot is needed.The slider run smoothly up and down grater it doesn't stick or jam that I have found.There is a collection pot on the back to catch everything you have grated this just slides out once grating is done however I believe its actually easier and quicker to use without the collection pot on I just grate strait Into my cooking pans.This grater is perfect for garlic, ginger been added into recipes or the best use is for when baking sweet dishes this is ideal for zesting citrus fruit peels so much easier and quicker than using a zester tool.Good quality kitchen tool feels well made and confident it is going to last.

生姜をおろしてみたのですが、かなりのツブツブ感でそのまま食べるにはちょっと粗い感じですチーズをおろしたりには程良い感じかなと思います

This is a good safe way to grate small items, by placing them in the round receptacle on a slider and pushing down on top with the 'plunger'. You can go back and forth quite furiously with the slider and remain safe. The downside is that the receptacle is not all that large, so you can't grate anything that much bigger than say a large clove of garlic. You can also use the grater directly - the slider can be taken off easily. On the underside is a removable tray - you can grate with this on to collect the gratings and then remove afterwards, or else remove it to grate directly onto food. I do find that this tray is quite hard to remove though - you have to push it off with your thumb and I do find it really quite difficult. You could actually end up spilling the contents all over the place straining very hard to get it off and then it giving way.
