This is a beautiful lined A5 journal. The 100 gsm paper is thick and smooth and easy to write on. I did not see any bleeds through on the opposite side of writing, and I like to use gel pens. I have been aquiring quite the collection of A5 journals, and I do use them. The leather cover of the journal could also be removed and used with another journal after completing the journal.

I love the color and design of this journal/notebook. I'm a bit of a journal/notebook and pens addict or maybe I could call myself an officandio or expert. This is a great workable notebook but I think that I might have gotten one that just had a defect. I've seen some notebooks where the orientation of the pages switches halfway through the notebook. Now, I could be wrong but I think that this particular refill is just defective because this is only part of the last quarter or wso of the notebook. I will add that this is a "refill" because it can be removed from the cover. I think this would likely be attractive to those who want to save money on a nice cover and purchase refills. This is a great sustainability feature. I did not look closely at the item description to see if they offer the name or number of the particular refill this notebook uses.
