Summer will soon be here, with its hurricanes, camping trips, and lunches outside. I find hot muggy air is much easier to bear when it’s moving. This fan from Astarama should see a lot of use this summer.It has four speeds. I can set it on low next to me, or set it on high to keep mosquitoes away on a tabletop. It moves a good bit of air and makes a medium-pitched humming noise.The lights have three settings and are dot lights. "High" is bright enough that when I looked at it I had after-image spots for a minute– it’s bright.The fan can be set to one of five positions, from straight forward to straight up; it makes a clicking noise when being moved to a new position. It has a plastic hook to hang it upside down from a tent-ceiling loop (it weighs 29.15 oz on my kitchen scale, or a little under 2 pounds), plus a handle on top to carry it or hang it on a hook.The solar panel is a thick sturdy plastic with embedded wires, and holes at each corner for hanging. It has regular USB-A output. The fan input is USB-C.After 1 hour with the fan set to "high", the battery level dropped from 100% to 86%. Then I turned it off, attached the solar panel, and left it in the sun. When I checked it about 45 minutes later, the battery was back at 100%.The solar panel is a great bonus, because I’ll have a working fan even during power outages, and also not have to worry so much about draining the battery when sitting outside.
