The Adeept robot kits and components are consistently excellent products ideal for hobbyists, teaching and learning.This Motor HAT component is almost a prerequisite for any robot building projects. Not only does it connect directly to the GPIO pins of a variety of Raspberry Pi models - off-loading the requirements for a mess of cables - and adding well laid out servo motor connections but it also offers support for a number of other common sensors: Tracking, ultrasonic and WS2812 LED support.The board is well made and nicely thought out and includes an on/off switch and separate power connector (2-Pin from some high power source like 18250 batteries) as well as a 5V USB-A output.This board is supplied with mounting bolts and risers, a pack of connecting cables as well as a 2x 18250 battery holder.An excellent product. Not sure of the price at time of writing as it is unlisted.

First of all, I really like this Pi Hat, the original one I ordered has a bad motor port, and they replaced it in a very timely manner, quick like. I am running this on a Pi 4b 4gb and it's working great.And whenever working with Pi Hats, watch the pin-outs...Thanks for getting me up and running!!! -)

While this robot motor/sensor expansion board is designed for the Raspberry Pi, my intention with it is to convert it for use with a Pi Pico board. This will require some external conversion circuitry and custom code, but I'm hopeful that I can get it to work. Overall, this board covers a multitude of drivers and connectors which would be required for controlling a small robot or vehicle, and thus is saves quite a bit of space in not having to design and build all that external circuitry and wiring, which is all self-contained on the board. It's compact, and a bonus that it comes with a number of cables which connect straight onto the board for the motors.
