I purchased this UV light after I discovered that my home was SATURATED with microplastic fibers. These fibers can only be detected with a 365nm UV light. The common "blacklight" that we are all familiar with is 395nm and can't reveal these fibers. This flashlight was much less expensive than any of the other popular brands. I have previously owned a dark beam brand 365nm flashlight which did have a stronger and longer beam than this one but it also cost nearly 3 times the amount. I like the construction of this flashlight, it has a nicely designed metal body, with a beautiful embossed carving of a Phoenix on one side and on the other, a dragon. The flashlight feels very solid and well made. It comes with a wrist strap attached. The on/off button is located on the bottom and is very easy to find in the dark. The flashlight body is sealed permanently closed, so you cannot open or access the battery. It recharges with a standard USB android (older style) cord which is included. Charging time is around 2-3 hours. The lense cover is also very well designed and sealed, with a dark lense cover which works fantastically even in moderate light conditions. The battery life is pretty good. I get at least 40 minutes to 1.5 hours of continuous use out of it on a full charge, before I begin noticing the intensity diminishing. I use this flashlight in combination with a microscope to examine various invisible micro plastic fibers that we all have saturating our environment, our food, drinking water and pets. So I often use it for nearly an hour straight. The flashlight does not get hot like others, the wavelength of light is truly 365nm or maybe slightly less. It produces a large enough area for my needs and works great. I do wish it had a wider view and a zoom focus on it. But for the price I paid, I'm very happy with it. I also own several beard and electric razors that have the exact same exterior metal asian design. The pictures I posted with this review are images showing the high level of environmental contamination by micro plastics that I have been able to finally see, thanks to this flashlight. I encourage others to purchase one of these flashlights to see if you too are not being swarmed by these plastics and unaware of it. I'm finding these fluorescent fibers everywhere, including in packaged food, bottled and filtered water, in brand new clothing and other commercial materials. ESPECIALLY in textiles and fabrics and my Washer and Dryer are overwhelmed by the sheer volume of it all. I fear what's happening to us. Because I've been unable to remove these fibers. I've tried vacuuming, chemical washes and even straight up trying to burn them with a blow torch. Nothing works. We are drinking, eating and inhaling these fibers 24/7. Even my $600 air cleaner and ionizers can't pull them out of the environment. Using this flashlight has given me the opportunity to inspect other peoples homes and any location I visit. I'm finding some people have almost none of this material in their homes, while others are literally swimming in it and it's invisible to the naked eye.
