Beautiful black walnut chopping board. Very good quality and craftmanship. A bonus that it comes with oil and a plate. The chopping board has a space at the front for the plate to sit to collect chopped up food which is very convenient. Nice size and the grain pattern looks very pretty. Very impressed.

Bought it in Nov, review after 7 months: i love it! I had it for about a month before I got one for my mom as an xmas gift and everyone's happy with it. I'm sure i should oil it more but it's still great even a little dehydrated XD I dont use the cut out and the plate it's just an awkward size and annoying. I use a bench scraper instead. I cut veg and raw meat and wash it gently by hand each time and its still good. The knife cuts i leave behind don't seem like it's chipping and nothing seems to be "growing" in them.

I've been using the cutting board for a couple of weeks; so far it's performed fantastically. Much better than the plastic ones I was using before. The divot for the plate to catch scraps off the cutting board is a thoughtful touch too, I find myself using it a lot more than I thought I would. I also like that it comes with a bit of oil for you to get started with keeping the board oiled.There are a few things to consider though. Like some of the other reviews mentioned, Amazon doesn't store these in the warehouse properly, and if you're in Canada right now it is extremely cold and extremely dry, and they may come pretty dry even in spite of being pre-oiled. I would really heavily recommend that you use the oil that comes with this board right when you get it, coat it all over with oil, and let it absorb it for a day or so; just drench it in oil for a few days. Maybe even longer just to be on the safe side.I do have a small split between some of the blocks, but it's very far away from the actual cutting surface; probably partly my fault from how dry my apartment is. I can't fault the manufacturer for that because I was well aware of the condition the boards are kept in at the warehouse and took the steps I should to keep the board happy and healthy.Long story short; great board, wonderful manufacturing, but be aware that even though these are pre-oiled, amazon does the manufacturer a disservice by keeping these in extremely dry and cold environments; you can mitigate that by heavily oiling the board when you receive it. Note that even if your board comes pre-oiled anyway and is kept in optimal conditions in the warehouse, you really should oil it again anyway before use.I'm very impressed with the seller and will be purchasing another one of these if ever I need to. I love this board.

Came packaged very well. Mine had no visual defects, and after giving a thorough oil coating, it looks just awesome. Very good addition to my kitchen.

High quality board. Comes with sample oil. I like the heaviness and the cutout handles. Definitely better than using plastic.
