I've been holding off on purchasing a decent pH meter for over a year and probably did not need one that matches the quality and accuracy of the one that is included in the Apera Instruments Value Series PH850 Portable Handheld pH Meter Kit. Nevertheless, I'm very please with my purchase.The ph meter and probe appear to be well built and durable, the 3-point calibration process is very simple to follow and can be accomplished quickly, the carrying case is convenient for storage and portability of the meter, probe, buffer solutions, etc., and the instruction manual is relatively easy to follow. I feel confident I completely understand how to operate the meter and select my preferred operating parameters.I'm happy with my purchase.Thanks APERA!

As someone who writes Standard Operating Procedures for a living, I always appreciate a well written instruction manual that is easy to follow.My first attempt at a three point calibration was successful with maybe 0.3 uncertainty max, keep in mind your buffer solutions have labels that show their variance in temperature and I live in Texas so this is still decent for it being hot the day it arrived. Second attempt at a three point calibration went perfectly, on the dot for low, middle, and High! Some advice would be to make sure whatever solution or slurry you are measuring it as close to the temperature of your buffer solutions.

Absolutely love this PH850!! Super accurate and fast, a real pleasure to use in hard to reach areas. I have owned the PH20 and PH60 also....I once lost the PH60, found it in a reservoir when I emptied it a couple weeks later...looks bad but worked perfectly! I have had nothing but reliable, accurate readings from all of my Apera meters. I recommend this meter and their other meters as well. The quality to price just isn’t being beat.

I am coming from a PH pen that was about $75. No comparison, this reads much faster no more hunting in stable water. This is also more accurate, so you can do the rounding instead of the meter doing it. I didn't want to have to buy a new meter, because mine was only about a year old, but this is a huge upgrade so I'm glad I did.
