Since this is meant to be unisex, it’s difficult to agree that Large would mean the same thing for all genders. I got big hands, so I thought no way I’d need the Medium size, especially if M is a unisex size. I ended up ordering L and they look big, and work as they should.It’s not just arena’s paddles that don’t have an easy to read size chart. If you research images for hand paddles, you will see professional images of swimmers wearing paddles that barely fit their hands and some wear paddles that are huge — each serves a different purpose for training and techniques. These ones are on the bigger side to allow for more resistance for form adjustment and muscle building.It’s easier to decide if you take the measurements of your hand and compare them to the provided chart, and use that to decide on the right size while keeping in mind that these are meant to be big.With that said, I tested these in the water and found them helpful in terms making me feel the strokes and resistance, and also helps with building a better technique in terms if how to glide the hands in the water for free swimming.
