I bought this because I was having issues with my existing laser collimator from another manufacturer. The advantage of this one is that it has a crosshair and can be used to determine if the eyepiece holder is out of alignment too. I found this product easy to use and after aligning my mirrors and eyepiece holder, I was able to confirm good collimation with my old laser collimator. The drawback to this product is that it it might be hard to use at night.

If you've never collimated a telescope before, let me tell you it's tricky.I bought the Orion SpaceProbe II 76mm Reflector Telescope, which had been roughly handled in transit. The mirrors were out of alignment and needed Collimation. This Collimation eyepiece helped correct the problem, however, Important Note, due to the Orion SpaceProbe II focuser being lightweight (Budget telescope) compared to more expensive telescopes the weight of Collimation eyepiece kept pulling the focuser out of alignment this was corrected by using a shim.My advice if you have a budget telescope consider getting a shorter Collimation eyepiece because of the weight issue. Top Tip: Keep your telescope level when adjusting the mirrors to avoid accidental damage of the primary mirror. YouTube have some great videos on Collimating telescopes.
